Year 6

Yesterday our Year 6 students spent the day at Amaroo utilising their high school facilities. The students had the opportunity to work together on problem solving scenarios and during the breaks meet other Year 6  students from Amaroo. This day was part of our wider transition program to help prepare our students for high school. Thank you to the Year 6 team for supporting our students to make this day a success. The next Transition Day to Amaroo School is scheduled for 6 December for students attending Amaroo in 2024.

Kenny Koala

This week we had Kenny Koala visit Preschool, Kindergarten and Year 3 to Year 6. The students were so excited to see Kenny and warmly welcomed him as he made his way through the school. Kenny delivered a range of programs including Stay OK for life,  Stay OK everyday, and Stay OK in the community.  Stay OK for Life for Year 5 and 6 students included information about staying safe online. These programs are part of ACT Policing's approach to staying safe in a range of situations and encouraging students to turn to police for help and advice.

Before School Supervision

Our school gates open from 8.30am and supervision is provided on the River by a member of the leadership team until the bell rings at 9am to signal the start of the day and for students to walk to their classrooms. If you are dropping off your child/ren please send them straight to the River where we have someone on roaming duty.

We ask that you do not encourage your children or their siblings to play on the playgrounds before or after school as we do have supervision in these spaces. We also ask that you do not encourage them to visit the local shops before school (unless of course you are with them).

Islamic Education

Islamic Education classes will continue to run each Thursday at break one next term. If you are new to the school and would like to register your child for these, please do so here.
