Signs for PBL
As a part of our PBL approach we have developed expectations across the school for all of the different areas. This ensures that students recieve consistent messages from all teachers and everybody knows the expectations. The next step in this process is to have signage in the areas that outlines the expectations- you may have seen these at other schools. We have now designed our signs and they are at the printing company being printed. We are expecting these to be up around the school by the end of term 4.
Right place right time
Our fortnightly focus for week 5 and 6 is to be in the right place at the right time. Teachers will be talking to students about where they are allowed to be at different times. Students are not allowed to be on the playgrounds in the mornings, all students must be on The River. We appreciate parents/carers supporting us with this expectation.
Fortnightly Focus Week 5 & 6- We are in the right place at the right time.

Canberra Allergy Season
We are seeing lots of children through sick bay at the moment with itchy red eyes and suffering hay fever symptoms from Canberra's extreme/high pollen rating and wind.
If your child suffers from hay fever or seasonal allergies please make sure they are taking their medication daily before school. If they require more medication, eye drops, sprays etc throughout the day please visit reception to drop this off and complete authority paperwork.
Update Household Details
If you have moved house or changed phone numbers, please be sure to update your details with the front office.
You can do this in person at the office or via email: nevillebonnerps@ed.act.edu.au
It is important to keep this information up to date in case we need to contact you in an emergency as well as for when the new parent portal is released next year.
Thank you, the admin team.

P&C Volunteers
Being a volunteer for your P&C is a great way for you to network, meet new people and make new friendships. We have an open and welcoming atmosphere within the school and there are many wonderful opportunities for you to be involved and your time and efforts are valued. It could be as little as an hour for an event, a couple of hours if you have the time, or extending to being a valuable committee member, to help in the planning and assisting with the management of events. Any contribution is a worthwhile one to the children and community of this School.
P&C Committee Meetings
Our General Committee meetings are held in Week 2 and Week 7. Our next meeting is Monday 20th November at 7pm.
We are always happy to have new people come along. We meet in the staff lounge for just over an hour, sometimes quicker. Come along and see how we are looking to support the school and students.

Colour Run
The P&C and School are working together to host a colour run fundraiser for P-6. Students will have the opportunity to fundraise for this event, where monies raised will be shared between the school and P&C. Colour runs are great fun and will be an enjoyable afternoon for our students.
Date: 24th November Time: 1pm - 3pm.
Consent forms, posters and more information will be shared through the school.
Volunteers: We will be looking for Parent volunteers to manage the tables of 'colours', please email us though nevillebonnerps.pandc@gmail.com, if you can help out through the afternoon.
Scholastic Book Club
Issue 7 orders have closed, we are waiting for the delivery from Scholastic. Don’t forget 20% of every sale is given to the P&C in ‘rewards’ that the school can use to purchase resources from the catalogues.
